Meet the Speech Center Team

 

JESSICA HARRINGTON, M.S. CCC-SLP, PC is a certified PROMPT clinician.  Jessica is the PROMPT coordinator, PROMPT speech therapist, and PROMPT evaluator for the Liberty POST Center for Speech team. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia in New York with her Bachelor and Masters’ degree in Speech Pathology.  She is a New York State licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist.  She began working in the field of speech and language therapy in 2001, bringing a variety of experience in early Intervention, preschool services, and with the school-aged population.  Early in her career, she began to see a high need in the community for those who need added support for motor speech disorders.  When she attended the Introduction to PROMPT course, she was able to immediately apply these strategies with her clients.  She became PROMPT certified in 2007 after completing her Introduction to PROMPT and Bridging Course.  She has provided PROMPT services to children with a variety of disorders that have been impacted by motor speech disorders.  She has provided PROMPT assessments, observations, and characteristic assessments/diagnoses for Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).  Jessica provides ongoing PROMPT therapy for children ranging from 2 ½  years to 21 years old.  She has worked with additional motor disorders, including dysarthria and motor disorders associated with Cerebral Palsy and Autism.  She has helped grow functional lexicons for those with motor speech disorders, severe intelligibility delays, and those that needed a way to start speech through touch to their face.  She is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons.


MELISSA RITCHIE, M.S CCC-SLP:LP is a full time New York State licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), and a Level One PROMPT trained clinician for the Liberty POST Center for Speech. Melissa received her Bachelor and Masters’ degrees from Nazareth College, and began working in the field of speech-language pathology in 1998.  She has worked with children in the early Intervention, preschool, and school-age populations in a variety of settings, and has been employed by Liberty POST for several years.  Melissa has experience working with children who have autism, apraxia, Down Syndrome, phonological speech disorders, and receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language delays.  She became Level One PROMPT trained in 2013 after completing her Introduction to PROMPT Course, and has been providing PROMPT services to children with significant motor planning difficulties ever since.  Melissa enjoys watching the progress that children can make with PROMPT, and helping them to become successful, functional communicators.  She works primarily on the east side: Webster, Penfield, and Fairport.   She is married and enjoys spending time with their daughter and son.


LAUREN PACIULLO M.S. CCC-SLP is a Level One PROMPT trained clinician for the Liberty POST Center for Speech.  Lauren is a full time New York State licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at the Liberty POST Irondequoit STARS Preschool, as well as a Liberty POST Center for Speech clinician specializing in treatment of motor-speech disorders with PROMPT training.  She graduated from Nazareth College with a Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2013.   Her range of clinical graduate experience has included placements in preschools, high schools, hospitals, and working with children of refugee backgrounds.  With now five years of clinical experience working in early intervention and with preschool students, and after receiving Level 1 PROMPT training in 2016, she has been using specialized treatment for clients with complex communication needs, including apraxia and other motor speech disorders for over two years.  She has lived and studied in New York City and is conversationally proficient in Spanish and Italian.  She brings with her an enthusiasm for speech and language, a commitment to play, and an appreciation for cultural diversity. 


MAUREEN HOUSEL M.S. CCC-SLP is a full time New York State licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), and a Level One PROMPT trained clinician for the Liberty POST Center for Speech. Maureen graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY with a Master’s in Speech-language pathology. She began working in the field of speech and language therapy in 2013, bringing a range of experiences in early intervention, preschool services, and with the school-age population. She became Level One PROMPT trained in 2018 after completing her Introduction to PROMPT Course, and has been providing PROMPT services ever since.  She has been providing ongoing services to children with a variety of disorders that have been impacted by motor delays ranging from ages 2-5 years. Specifically, children with childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), motor disorders associated with cerebral palsy, and/or Autism as well as phonological speech disorders, and receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language delays. She is located within the Liberty POST Center for Speech in Irondequoit, NY.  She looks forward to observing, assessing, and implementing PROMPT therapy with you and your child.


OLIVIA KRICK M.S. CCC-SLP is a full time ASHA certified and New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), as well as a Level One PROMPT trained clinician for the Liberty POST Center for Speech in Irondequoit. Olivia graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY with a Master’s in Speech-language pathology in 2020 then began working at Liberty POST STARS Preschool. She has provided speech and language services to both children and adults with apraxia of speech, dysarthria, and aphasia throughout graduate level practicum placements. She completed the Level one PROMPT course after receiving her New York State license fall of 2021. She enjoys working inter-professionally with special education, music therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy to learn more about sensory, musical, cognitive, and motor aspects that facilitate speech and language production. She is excited to continue learning and practicing PROMPT therapy through an individualized approach.
